Two players picked perfectly across all eight races of the Lenny Peters Cup. On raw points they finished level on 291. On countback, mulletmancharles and Christian Rorie taking the Cup.

Final top five

Rank Player Points
🏆 mulletmancharles 291
2 Christian Rorie 291
3 rowenaprice 261
4 Oars before Whores 260
5 BFWBeluga 260

A one-point gap between 3rd and 4th, and a 30-point cliff between 2nd and 3rd. The top two cleaned every card on the table. The rest of the field gave up a single race each — and the race they gave up tells the story.

The shock results

Women's Single Race 2 — Isa Darvin stuns Veldhuis

The international entry from the Netherlands, Martine Veldhuis, came in favoured enough that Oars before Whores and BFWBeluga both parked their points on her. Isa Darvin (USA) had other ideas — and the two Veldhuis pickers dropped the one race that now separates them from a perfect card and a tie at the top. It's a direct 30-point swing: without that miss, it's a four-way tie for the Cup.

Mixed Quads Race 2 — Pimenov's WORLD boat goes boom

This was the show-stopper of the regatta. USA had already sealed the overall trophy before the final quad launched — but the WORLD boat stroked by Pimenov (with Veldhuis, Macovick, and Clark) lit the course up in a way that didn't care what the standings said. Explosive is the word. Too late to rewrite the medal table, but it absolutely wrote itself into the fantasy league.

Four of the top five had called it — mulletmancharles, Christian Rorie, Oars before Whores, BFWBeluga all on the WORLD crew. Only rowenaprice read it otherwise, backing the all-USA quad (Joyce, Nollenberger, Park, Melvin). That single miss is the reason she finishes 3rd on 261 instead of sharing the top of the table at 291. One race — one pick — and the Cup is gone.

The perfect cards

mulletmancharles and Christian Rorie were the only two to:

  • Stick with Isa Darvin in the Women's Single Race 2 upset window
  • Trust the WORLD quad in the finale even when USA had already locked the trophy

Eight from eight. Identical cards from start to finish.
