Five players came into Sunday on 370 points. One leaves with a trophy (emoji).
Glucky7s takes the Big Ten Invitational on 560, going 7-from-8 across Sunday's final flights — the only miss was a race nobody in the top five got right.
Final top five
| Rank | Player | Points |
|---|---|---|
| 🏆 | Glucky7s | 560 |
| 2 | Julia | 545 |
| 3 | Fraser Innes | 531 |
| 4 | tia | 525 |
| 5 | Goose | 525 |
The biggest movement of the morning isn't on that table — it's who's missing. AllMarkRich, one of the five tied on 370 overnight, took the boldest line on the card and was muscled out of the top five entirely dropping down to 13th. tia climbed in behind the Sunday action to claim fourth.
How Sunday played out
Flight 1 — Stanford holds, the lone Husky pick folds
Stanford swept both, exactly as the crowd of four had called it. The divergence in the preview — AllMarkRich alone on Washington — cost him 50 points right out of the gate. That was the first crack in the 370 wall.
Flight 2 — 💔 the morning's real gut-punch
The preview flagged Flight 2 as the 3-vs-2, Ohio State vs Indiana. It turned out to be neither.
- 1V4: Ohio State didn't win. Indiana didn't win. A third crew blew past both picks and no one in the top five scored the race. It was the only 0-for-5 flight of the weekend.
- 1V8: Ohio State steadied the ship and delivered for the four Buckeye backers — but the two Indiana backers were left on zero for the second race in a row.
Goose and AllMarkRich both staked Indiana in both Flight 2 races — 50 points of exposure to a crew that never made the podium. For Goose, it capped his slide into 5th. For AllMarkRich, it was the end of a cup challenge.
Flight 3 — UCLA delivers, the Trojan gamble misses
UCLA swept both. The crowd's favourite held, and so did the four players who picked it in the 1V4. AllMarkRich's lone USC call lost him another 50-point swing, and tia's one wobble — USC in the 1V4 before coming back to UCLA in the 1V8 — became the reason she's on 525 instead of above it.
Flight 4 — Iowa take both, Wisconsin gamble fails twice
The chaos race delivered clarity: Iowa swept Flight 4 in both the four and the eight.
- 1V4: Four on Iowa scored. Fraser Innes alone on Wisconsin — zero.
- 1V8: Glucky7s and tia had Iowa and collected. Julia and Goose on San Diego — zero. Fraser back on Wisconsin — zero again.
The 1V8 Flight 4 was the race the Sunday preview called the one "where four different crews could win and four different players would benefit." Iowa was the 23% outsider in the crowd picks. And Iowa won. One player — Glucky7s — was on the right side of both Flight 4 calls while the rest of the pack scattered. That was the race that wrote the trophy.
Why Glucky7s
Seven from eight. The only Sunday race Glucky7s didn't score was the Flight 2 1V4 upset that no one in the field got. Against a 370-point field that all agreed with them through Flights 1, 2, and 3, they won it by being the only one to solo-back Iowa in the 1V8 Flight 4 while Julia went San Diego and Fraser went Wisconsin. One divergence, right on the right race.
The weekend in one sentence
Sixteen flights, five players in lockstep through Saturday, and a Sunday morning where Stanford, UCLA, and Ohio State held — but Iowa surprised, Indiana broke two hearts, and Glucky7s was the only one in the whole field to read the Iowa Flight 4 sweep right.
Champion's pick of the weekend: Iowa, 1V8 Flight 4. The race that settled it.
